Using Kiso cypress, which grows in the harsh natural environment, artisans have carved out elegant curves, resulting in a rounded bottom that makes it easy to eat rice and fits comfortably in the hand. The glossy black lacquer finish on both the inside and outside creates a jet-black stage that beautifully brings out the side dishes.
